Meet Your 2021-2022 Vice-President!

Hi Friends! My name is Victoria and I am a third year pursuing an Honours in Politics, Major in International Studies, a Concentration in Global Culture, and a Minor in French. I am honoured to serve as your 2021-2022 PISA Vice President!

I was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario- a city about an hour outside of Toronto. I absolutely love the city I grew up in because of the great sense of community. When I started applying to universities, I had no idea where I wanted to go. A friend recommended Bishop’s to me and as soon as I learned more about the school, I knew it was perfect for me. Our wonderful BU community is supportive, inclusive and full of amazing opportunities.

I was introduced to PISA during Orientation Week and was able to get involved during my first semester at Bishop’s. After helping out occasionally, I decided to apply for an Events Aide position during the winter semester of my first year. During my second year, 2020-2021, I had the pleasure of serving as the PISA Director of Events. With such uncertain times, our team adapted to ever-changing public health regulations and were able to host some amazing events including guest speakers, grad info sessions, trivia at the gait, study sessions and so many more. I am thankful to continue my time in PISA as this year’s Vice President. My goals for this year are to; expand PISA merchandise, make events accessible for all students and to uphold the working relationships between PISA, and administration, the SRC, Professors, Alumni, Senate and other BU community members. Furthermore, I will work diligently to represent, advocate and build community for Politics and International Studies Students. Being involved within the department has helped me to meet like-minded people who share a lot of the same interests and goals as me.

If you have questions, concerns, ideas, or just want to say hi, don’t hesitate to email me! Thanks for reading and I look forward to an amazing upcoming year!

Raise a Toast!
